현상

AppleSDGothicNeo 폰트 패밀리에 font-weight:bold 속성을 주었을 때 굵어지는 정도가 규칙적이지 않다.

 

원인

css로 font-weight:bold 속성을 줄 경우 브라우저마다 각각의 폰트를 표현하는 방법이 다른데,
AppleSDGothicNeo 폰트 패밀리에서는 AppleSDGothicNeo-Light와 AppleSDGothicNeo-Medium 이 다른 폰트에 비해 글자 넓이가 넓어져 오류처럼 보인다.
 

해결방법

AppleSDGothicNeo 폰트 패밀리의 굵기 표현 단계를 다음과 같이 사용하는것을 권장한다.

 
 
 

참고사항

AppleSDGothicNeo 폰트 패밀리에 bold 속성을 줄 경우 아래 내용과 같이 표현된다.

• AppleSDGothicNeo-Bold, AppleSDGothicNeo-Bold(font-weight:bold),AppleSDGothicNeo-Regular(font-weight:bold)는 같은 모습으로 렌더링 되므로 AppleSDGothicNeo-Regular(font-weight:bold)로 표현한다.
  AppleSDGothicNeo만 선언하면 AppleSDGothicNeo-Regular로 렌더링 되므로 AppleSDGothicNeo(font-weight:bold)로 사용가능하다.

  

• AppleSDGothicNeo-SemiBold 와 AppleSDGothicNeo-Thin(font-weight:bold)는 같은 모습으로 렌더링 되므로 AppleSDGothicNeo-Thin(font-weight:bold)로 표현한다.

   

• AppleSDGothicNeo-Light와 AppleSDGothicNeo-Medium는 bold 설정 시 글씨 넓이가 넓어지니 bold설정이 필요한 곳에 사용을 자제한다.
